Our Students:
We seek dreamer-collaborators 18+ years old, from all nationalities, genders, and backgrounds for our inaugural summer program. Applicants are assessed on the basis of merit and collaborative potential. Experience in filmmaking is not required, but is welcomed.
We encourage applications from independent, driven, self-motivated individuals. Students will take online classes prior to arrival in Malta, and therefore should have reliable internet connectivity accessible to them. Online classes will include a morning and an afternoon session, five days a week for four weeks, beginning June 6, 2022. Once in Malta, students will have an immersive, 6 day a week schedule. Classes, fieldwork, cultural experiences, screenings, and film production will require 12-14 hours/daily. The experience is demanding and requires all of student attention and discipline.
Students will participate in a stepped application process, beginning with submission of an application form via this website, followed by a portfolio submission, and finally an interview with our admissions staff. Students applying from non-European or North American countries are encouraged to apply as early as possible to ensure student visas are issued in time.
Our programs
All of our programs offer our students the opportunity to collaborate with those different from themselves, to collaborate with our award winning staff, and to collaborate with local Maltese film students and professionals.
